The Weeknd plans to launch a brand new album on Friday (07.01.22).
The 31-year-old star has taken to social media to tease particulars of ‘Daybreak FM’, revealing that the upcoming album will function comic Jim Carrey.
Within the Twitter submit, a voice says: “You at the moment are listening to 103.5: Daybreak FM. You’ve been at midnight for approach too lengthy, it’s time to stroll into the sunshine and settle for your destiny with open arms.”
In the course of the video clip, the upcoming album is billed as a “new sonic universe from the thoughts of The Weeknd”.
Jim, 59, has already listened to the album and he is “thrilled” to be concerned with the venture.
He wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “I listened to Daybreak FM with my good buddy Abel @theweeknd final night time. It was deep and chic and it danced me across the room. I’m thrilled to play an element in his symphony. (sic)”
The Weeknd beforehand revealed that he and Jim grew to become buddies across the time of his thirtieth birthday.
Requested whether or not the pandemic ruined his celebrations, he replied: “My birthday was proper earlier than. The social gathering wasn’t massive. It was a bit venue. Tremendous grungy. The singer – whose final album, ‘After Hours’, was launched in March 2020 – shared: “He lived actually like two buildings down from me.
“He had a telescope, and I had a telescope. He was like, ‘The place do you reside? What ground do you reside on?’ I used to be like, Blah, blah, blah. And we appeared out the home windows on our telescopes and we might see one another.”
